Each audit template provides you with self-reflective questions to answer about your school, such as, “Do we encourage and facilitate the development of subject and pedagogical knowledge among staff?” and, “Do our pupils understand how to use terminology related to gender and LGBTQ+ inclusivity appropriately?”

By answering the questions honestly, you can pinpoint your school’s strengths and the areas that you’d like to develop. You might also uncover areas you’ve not previously considered, so auditing can be ideal in helping you to explore your school’s offer in more depth and make a plan to develop any areas further.

Headteachers, deputy headteachers, assistant headteachers and members of the senior leadership team wishing to audit different areas of their school or college against Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF) will find this pack useful. It is suitable for new and experienced school leaders alike.

There's no guidance in this bundle but the questions within the eight audit areas will allow you to explore the strengths and weaknesses of your setting.
